I WILL BE BLOGGING THIS YEAR. Seriously. I’ve decided that it’s something that needs to be a priority. I find myself looking through photo blogs pretty often in my spare time, and I ALWAYS check out the blog when I know the family in the post. I want my clients to be able to share their blogged sessions with their loved ones.

With that being said…

I’m excited to show off Baby Reich! It’s always pretty amazing getting to see my co-workers in another element. This shoot did NOT feel like work. I felt like I was just catching up with a friend, aaaand I just so happened to snap pictures of her adorable baby. Needless to say, Amanda had the perfect playlist (I wouldn’t expect anything less from a music teacher! Hehe) and Baby Reich slept great for her shoot! Dream baby! I must say that Amanda and Bob are naturals with parenting. It was hard to tell that Baby Reich is their first! She’s one fortunate little baby girl because it’s already so apparent that she’s got awesome parents!

I couldn’t leave without having grandma & grandpa get in a couple of shots with their new granddaughter. She is so loved! 🙂

 

It’s pretty interesting how this year worked out. Jessica happens to be the teacher who’s second grade class I ended up taking over. All I’d heard prior to getting the position was that she was an amazing teacher, and that she would soon be an amazing mother. Of course, none of us knew just how soon it would all come to be. I think  KNOW that everyone was right, and I have SO much respect for her because in spite of welcoming a baby earlier than expected, she managed to find the time to help me settle into the classroom.

After a 3 month stay in the hospital, I was sooo excited to get the text that this sweet little one was home and ready for her newborn shoot! I knew Jessica from the elementary school, and hearing that she had her baby girl early broke my heart, but working at the school kept me in the loop of things. The Epstein parents are so fortunate and blessed to have such a little fighter, but she’s also blessed to have such supportive, faithful, and dedicated parents. Even during her  shoot they were working hard to make sure she had exactly what she needed, when she needed it. I’ve seen first hand how hard it is to care for a newborn baby, and these parents are doing an amazing job! I hope that this will  be the first of many family shoots with you all! 🙂

Beautiful family!

They are finally HERE! I was so anxious about meeting and working with my first twins. It was MOOOONTHS ago when Nikita first mentioned wanting me to do her babies’ newborn session. I mean, she hadn’t even booked their session yet, and I was still a little excited about the possibility. It isn’t every day that I get a message about twins! They were pretty much amazing for their session.

Definitely one of my favorite maternity sessions!

& here they are filling in their little outfits that we photographed during the maternity session. These were their going home outfits.

We did a lot with them together and also some of them individually. 

LOL! They have absolutely NOOO choice, but to be Cowboys Fans! Love these.

I saved my favorites for last. I wish Dallas would have been in them, but I like these shots for their girls. It was important to this family for their baby girl that is not longer with us to be incorporated. These two twins are extra blessed because they have a guardian angel. As with all of my clients, I appreciate you guys choosing me to capture this special time in your lives!

Shortly after I did this shoot, I had a major family emergency come up so I wasn’t able to blog this session or any others when I’d intended on it. So I’m back tracking before moving on with more holiday sessions. I just had to add my little Lam Lam to the blog. He was a few weeks older than most of my newborns and he thought sleep was over rated. It worked out that this happened to be a session of a friend…we talked and talked and waited and waited…and then we just gave up. I actually like the way that it turned out. It was a fortunate situation because Janet was so willing to be in majority of the shoot with her baby boy.

A few months ago I shared Nunu’s maternity session here on the blog….fast forward a few months and here we are. 🙂

He smiled and I melted.

It’s been a while since I’ve shared some newborn goodness…so I wanted to share one with you all. Baby Peek was probably the hardest sleeper I have everrrr had the pleasure of working with. She was such a dream baby girl! I’m definitely hoping to work with the Peek Family again in the future. 😉

I am definitely getting a canvas of the above shot for my office. She’s perfection!
