You know, there are just some people that you meet and INSTANTLY connect with. This family was just so warm and inviting when I arrived for Baby Gabrielle’s session. I could have sat and chatted with Sakinah ALLLL day! I also love that she’d done a bit of her own research and had the place nice and toasty when I got there (although I might have been a sweaty little mess, I loved that it was warm). Baby G slept like a champ for majority of her session, and I just adore all of the beautiful shots I was able to capture for her.

Wellllll, here we are again with a little blog post of a tiny one that I had the pleasure of photographing as she made  her way into this world. I was originally going to try out studio lights with Little Miss Cady, but after the long drive to get to her shoot I chickened out on using studio lights and just went with natural night *hides face in shame*. Anyway, Cady slept sooooo well during her shoot……..even through all of her darling outfit changes. LOL!
Her original due date was on the 4th of July, but she came a tad early. Love her little red, white, and blue romper!

So a few weeks ago I decided that I was sick and tired of the rain and cloudy days. I wasn’t loving the horrible available light. I was thinking that maybe I should take a little power from Mother Nature, and give studio light a shot, specifically for little tiny ones. Jae responded to my cry, and was all game for her sweet baby girl Blaire being my newborn model. 🙂
I love love love these, but I’m definitely not ready to ditch my beloved natural light. The main reason is because as you all know (or you will know if you’re interested in a shoot), I do not have a studio. I lug all of my gear from home to home. I’ve had clients tell me how much they prefer this for newborn shoots, but it is a lot to tote around and using studio lights just added to my luggage…thanks to Jae and her mom for helping this bag lady out a bit! I guess each shoot will just vary according to the weather. Anywhoooo, take a look at the itty bitty model!
She wasn’t a huge fan of falling asleep outside of her mommy’s arms, but I won…for a bit.Â
