They are finally HERE! I was so anxious about meeting and working with my first twins. It was MOOOONTHS ago when Nikita first mentioned wanting me to do her babies’ newborn session. I mean, she hadn’t even booked their session yet, and I was still a little excited about the possibility. It isn’t every day that I get a message about twins! They were pretty much amazing for their session.

Definitely one of my favorite maternity sessions!

& here they are filling in their little outfits that we photographed during the maternity session. These were their going home outfits.

We did a lot with them together and also some of them individually. 

LOL! They have absolutely NOOO choice, but to be Cowboys Fans! Love these.

I saved my favorites for last. I wish Dallas would have been in them, but I like these shots for their girls. It was important to this family for their baby girl that is not longer with us to be incorporated. These two twins are extra blessed because they have a guardian angel. As with all of my clients, I appreciate you guys choosing me to capture this special time in your lives!

Man oh maaaan, I love maternity sessions. I love talking to expecting families, and I RRREALLY love it when my expecting mothers BRING IT for their maternity shoots. Latoria definitely showed up appearing to be very comfortable in her skin. She started with ONLY wanting a silhouette shot, but I’m glad that she decided on a full on shoot because I think her shoot turned out amazing. Congrats to this couple on their baby girl! I can’t wait to see her when she gets here!

I really used to dread going out to the enormous Piedmont Park. I’d literally try to steer my clients away from that park, but I’ve really fallen in love with it this season.

Goodness! I edited these pictures thinking “Dear Lord. If you ever decide to bless me with twins…or even just one sweet baby…pppplease let me look like this during my pregnancy!” Nikita is carrying these babies with so much confidence. I mean, I’m sure she has her moments, but for her and her husband’s maternity session, she sure showed up and blew me away! She’d planted the seed of me shooting her TWIN maternity session months ago…so I’d always thought about cute things we could do, but her session surpassed anything that I saw in my head.

These two were a dream. They trusted me on the location, the time, the props, the everrrrything. The only request they  had was to incorporate the dad-to-be’s job. When she told me he was a firefighter…I thought HECK YEAH! I knew it’d be HOT and different from anything I’d ever done, but again…it turned out so amazing in my opinion. They rocked the shots with that hot gear on like I’m sure no one else could do (or at least they set the bar pretty high)! I’m just loving incorporating a little of my client’s visions + a little of my vision.

On a deeper & personal note, when Nikita saw these images for the first time, she sent me the most thoughtful message that made me tear up and feel so honored and blessed to be a part of these moments for such amazing people! 🙂 Believe me, each and every time I hear such powerful words from my clients and just people in general I humbly think “Really?!” I compare myself so often to photographers that have been doing this for YEARS, but you guys sure push and inspire me to keep on keepin’ on with this photography journey.

If you’re here, and you follow my Facebook business page, you might already be aware of my admittance for being THAT friend that randomly asks Renee “Soooo when will you and Clint be having a little one?!” I regret that now because I know that these things happen for us all at different ages and stages. I’ve just always seen Renee as a mother…and a darn good one so I was anxious for her.

NOW…I am just so excited that THIS is the season for my friend and her husband. I am  just so excited to see how amazing they will be at this parenting thing. I am just so excited that they chose me to capture this life changing thing that is happening in their lives.

I love them together. So supportive of one another…and so loving. Clint McCalla III (whom I will definitely call Tre) is going to be one blessed little boy to call these two his parentals!

So EASY getting them to have those little in between moments that I always adore. Genuine smiles.

They were my first clients to want to incorporate paint into their session. Clint’s handprints on her bump turned out so cute!

&&& I never got to share these images from Renee and her sister’s session together. I had to sit on them until Renee was a little further along and ready to share her new joy! These make me wish I had a sister to be pregnant with…and go through parenthood with. SO BLESSED THESE TWO ARE FOR THIS EXPERIENCE THEY GET TO SHARE!!! 

Aw. “The Boys” are going to be the best of friends. I’m looking forward to some sessions of them together in the future. I meeean, they’ve had sessions together since the womb…they HAVE to have some when they get here! 😉

If you would have told me 10 years ago “Farrahn, I predict in 10 years, YOU’ll be taking maternity pictures for JANET.” I would have thought you’d lost your mind…and fortunately, I would have been SO wrong because here we are…she is certainly getting ready to welcome a baby boy. I don’t doubt for one second that Janet (Nunu) wont be an excellent parent because she’s an awesome “Aunt Nunu” to my God kids and her little niece Harmony. They love her! It’s just going to be a different experience watching her with a little one during that teeny tiny stage, but as I stated, I know that those natural mothering skills will kick in and she’ll do a great job, and I’m excited to watch her journey. Hopefully, I’ll be called a few more time to take pictures along the way.

I’ve enjoyed editing these pictures, and I had  a very hard time choosing which ones to share for sneak peeks. She’s got the smallest and cutest little seven month bump that I’ve ever seen! It’s probably a good thing that I don’t live in Augusta because I would have wanted to try all sorts of new things with her and her bump, and I know she would have been all up for it! Anyway, I appreciate being asked to help capture this huuuuge moment, and I rrrreally hope that I’m able to come up when this little one enters this world! Eeek! Exciting!

She’s definitely no stranger to the camera, but this time she had to learn to work with a new little accessory. 

I wanted to see the happy, laughing, and softer side come out for this shoot, and I have to say…that side is just as beautiful.

There’s a second part to our shoot that I’m holding off on sharing, but just know that I am so excited about it that  IT IS KILLLLLING ME to not show them to the world (or at least those in the world that I know), but clients’ wishes (especially those that I love and adore so much) are ALWAYS respected here. 😉
