It’s been far too long since I have blogged. šŸ™ I said to my boyfriend the other day, “Idk how I’m even still getting hits or inquiries from my site. I haven’t been present on there in months.”Ā I’ve tried my best to at least post sneak peeks on my Instagram and FB business page, but my poor blog has been a little neglected. I just have to be honest with you all…and myself. I have 21 kiddos now, and I HAVE BEEN DOWN RIGHT BUSY AND EXHAUSTED. I’M TALKIN’ FALLING ASLEEP AT 8PM EXHAUSTED. I started a new teaching position, and I’ve just gotten to the point where I can dedicate a little more time to photography again. Farrahn E. Photography is definitely still shooting. Lol! Before I post any new things, I want to share a few family sessions from the past holiday rush. First up, is Hanna & Jin’s family session!!!

I’m just sooo pleased with how this shoot turned out. I felt bad before we showed up for it because I knew it was going to be a cold day, but the girls were such great sports throughout the entire shoot. They are at my favorite age, they are old enough to know what’s going on, but young enough to not really care about the camera being pointed at them. Lol! They completely did their own thing for the camera and I LOVEEED that!!!

I’m so glad that we decided to not let the crazy weather stop this shoot from happening. It felt weird that this was my first time actually meeting Hanna because I feel like I’ve truly known her for a while, thanks to conversing via social networks and emailing for some time. & Hanna, let me just say that I have watched you from afar. You’ve handle a situation that would have completely broken most women. You’ve handled it with so much strength, class, and grace. In this year you’ve taught me so much about moving forward and not letting anything keep you down too long…and you didn’t even know it! I hope that we have started something here, and you’ll trust me to capture many many maaany more memories for you & Jin.

Again, I never wanted to go the railroad tracks route, but my goodness it really works! LOL!

What a beautiful family!

One of my favorite sibling shots…EVER.

Gorgeous!

My first album will be coming up soon and featuring this family. So stay tuned!

Thanks for looking!

Hanna & Jin Family Session

E-Sessions are a liiiitttttttle outside of my norm, but I must say that I absolutely LOVE the way that this session turned out. I’m actually excited to do another engagement at this point. There’s just something about working with and chatting with people about one of, if not…THE upcoming happiest day of their lives. Adrienne and Seith were just so in love, and everything flowed pretty natural. I love that they had so many moments during their shoot. They make a beautiful couple, and they made my job EXTREMELY easy, but don’t just take my word for it…have a look for yourself!

Wishing these two nothing but blessings and many years of happiness together! šŸ™‚

Goodness! I edited these pictures thinking “Dear Lord. If you ever decide to bless me with twins…or even just one sweet baby…pppplease let me look like this during my pregnancy!” Nikita is carrying these babies with so much confidence. I mean, I’m sure she has her moments, but for her and her husband’s maternity session, she sure showed up and blew me away! She’d planted the seed of me shooting her TWIN maternity session months ago…so I’d always thought about cute things we could do, but her session surpassed anything that I saw in my head.

These two were a dream. They trusted me on the location, the time, the props, the everrrrything. The only request they Ā had was to incorporate the dad-to-be’s job. When she told me he was a firefighter…I thought HECK YEAH! I knew it’d be HOT and different from anything I’d ever done, but again…it turned out so amazing in my opinion. They rocked the shots with that hot gear on like I’m sure no one else could do (or at least they set the bar pretty high)! I’m just loving incorporating a little of my client’s visions + a little of my vision.

On a deeper & personal note, when Nikita saw these images for the first time, she sent me the most thoughtful message that made me tear up and feel so honored and blessed to be a part of these moments for such amazing people! šŸ™‚ Believe me, each and every time I hear such powerful words from my clients and just people in general I humbly think “Really?!” I compare myself so often to photographers that have been doing this for YEARS, but you guys sure push and inspire me to keep on keepin’ on with this photography journey.

Anyway, take a look at these awesome parents-to-be.

I really love the evening sunlight. I’m thinking about just shooting exclusively during the “golden hours” now.

The tops that Baby Girl and Baby Boy will wear home!

I can’t imagine Nikita and Eddie’s excitement…I’m even overly anxious to see their pictures when they make it here!!!:D

A precious boy AND a girl…coming right up!

If you’re here, and you follow my Facebook business page, you might already be aware of my admittance for being THAT friend that randomly asks Renee “Soooo when will you and Clint be having a little one?!” I regret that now because I know that these things happen for us all at different ages and stages. I’ve just always seen Renee as a mother…and a darn good one so I was anxious for her.

NOW…I am just so excited that THIS is the season for my friend and her husband. I am Ā just so excited to see how amazing they will be at this parenting thing. I am just so excited that they chose me to capture this life changing thing that is happening in their lives.

I love them together. So supportive of one another…and so loving. Clint McCalla III (whom I will definitely call Tre) is going to be one blessed little boy to call these two his parentals!

I love your little bump, Renee!

So EASY getting them to have those little in between moments that I always adore. Genuine smiles.

They were my first clients to want to incorporate paint into their session. Clint’s handprints on her bump turned out so cute!

Ā The Clint’s special signature.Ā

&&& I never got to share these images from Renee and her sister’s session together. I had to sit on them until Renee was a little further along and ready to share her new joy! These make me wish I had a sister to be pregnant with…and go through parenthood with. SO BLESSED THESE TWO ARE FOR THIS EXPERIENCE THEY GET TO SHARE!!!Ā

Aw. “The Boys” are going to be the best of friends. I’m looking forward to some sessions of them together in the future. I meeean, they’ve had sessions together since the womb…they HAVE to have some when they get here! šŸ˜‰

LOL! These are probably my faves! SO them. Janet being craaazy. Renee cracking up to the point of tears!

Thanks for looking!Ā

Anxiously Awaiting Baby McCalla! | Augusta Maternity Photographer

Maternity

Hello family and friends (whether you are current or a soon to be friend)!

Ah. It just feels good to be here, present on my trusty little blog. As you can imagine, this last semester has been hectic. Iā€™m pleased that I did not have to COMPLETELY abandon photography. I was able to meet with a few families for sessions. The Burnettā€™s were one of the first for 2013. We met for their maternity pics in January. Then, I had the pleasure of meeting with them at their home in March for a newborn session with their first baby girl, Sofia Grace.

One thing I have come to learn about newborn photography is that you MUST be patient. Iā€™ve worked with about five newborns at this point, and I have only had one sleep the session away. Anyway, little Sofia let me know immediately that she was running the show in this home, at least for now. LOL! Her mom has these super cute headbands, and I had these super cute poses and ideas, but after sheā€™d had enough she definitely let us know! I think thatā€™s what I love about newborns, in a way they are predictable and then again they arenā€™t. Although theyā€™re all so tiny and adorable and you know they wont be running away from ya, you still never know exactly what youā€™ll get!

It was great getting to work with the same family for these MAJOR MAJOR happenings in their lives.

I just love shooting during this time of the day. The “golden hour” light is pure perfection. It never disappoints and compliments my beautiful clients so well.

and then fast forward a couple of months… šŸ˜€

I love it when I catch them stretching out. So cute!

I have decided to offer announcement cards as an additional printing option. For pricing details please check out my Investment page.
