Well, this certainly isn’t my first time working with Tiffany. She’s the Orange Moon event planner that I’ve been working with since what was almost the beginning for me.  I worked with her twice over the Christmas Break while she was home from over-seas. Randomly she asked to work together on something very different for us…a couple’s shoot! So we set one up and a few days later I see a picture on FB of her hand with the caption “I said Yes!”. Her boyfriend fiance was thinking ahead when he had her set a shoot up for the two of them. It still didn’t hit me until the day of the shoot that this was in fact an ENGAGEMENT SHOOT! SO funny that before the proposal, Tiffany and I were just talking about how amazing the details are going to have to be for her wedding, baby shower, etc…being that she’s an event planner!

Working with Tiffany and Kevin was a good time! Kevin brought the comedy throughout the entire shoot. When he didn’t have Tiffany (and goofy me) cracking up he was loading her up with compliments on how beautiful she looked and all kind of other sweet sweet things that you’d hope to hear from someone you’re planning to marry. I’m definitely looking forward to your upcoming December wedding!  🙂

I don’t want Kevin to lose too many cool points so let me just say that this bear holds value for them. He was given to Kevin when he bought the ring so he’s in their family now…along with the ring! SO Sweet, right?

Tiffany & Kevin Engaged!

So these kids are no strangers to this blog. There aren’t many things better than being able to work with the same family over and over…ESPECIALLY when they live on tons of open land. You learn what works and what doesn’t. I’ll always be eager to work with The Pollocks because they gave me a shot when I was just beginning this photography journey.

The only unfortunate part about this session is that it started about 25 minutes before the sunset. We worked extremely fast, and I’m a little bummed about 2 things 1). I did not get more shots of them together :(. 2). I have a few more shots of Harmony than I do Sammie. It was much easier to have her brave the cold a few seconds longer or jump from this location to that one than it was the baby. When working with kids (no matter how cooperative they are) that just isn’t enough time to get all of the shots you’d want. Anyway, I’ve very pleased with what we were able to get! I just love these two. Swoooon!

I had the pleasure of photographing a birthday party for Tiffany of Orange Moon Events. I knew it’d be a great experience just from our facebook interactions. She’s always been very supportive and encouraging. I remember Tiffany being one of the very first people to comment on one of my professional photos. I had no idea at the time that she was starting up her own business as well, but when I found out I was thrilled to team up with her.

The attention to detail was out of this world! As I was taking pictures of little Cameron’s first birthday party, I kept thinking…man, I wonder what Tiffany would come up with for a wedding if this is what she manages to do for a birthday party. I think I even asked her if she was interested in weddings for my own personal mental note. I mean, I’m not engaged or anything but a gal can never start shopping around for that sort of thing too early, right? She was just that good! I would snap a picture thinking something was in place and seconds later she’d be behind me adding more…and more…aaaand more details. The final outcome was great!

Cameron sure brought the kids out. The pool was packed by the time my work was done, and they were troopers for withstanding the Georgia heat. I’m sure it was 100 degress out this day. In fact, the only thing I could get Cameron to say the entire time I was there was “HOT!” Haha!

Again, if you’re looking for an event planner, she’s affordable, professional, and great at what she does. Be sure to check out the site here.

The little man of the hour

Several beautiful kids at the party.

It was so cool that the guys all wore UM apparel. Great event, Tiffany!

Orange Moon Event – Bday Party

So weddings aren’t necessarily my “thing”…not just yet anyway, but Renee is such a dear friend and I’d been itching to experiment with my new camera and lenses. She had a photographer, but as a friend there were things that I thought I could assist him with capturing. For an example, Renee had a tough time before the wedding because her brother, Bully, is no longer with us. So while the photographer was taking group pics I followed the flower girls around…specifically her brother’s daughter, Harmony, with my camera.

My favorite picture of them all is the picture of Renee and Clint’s first dance. She cried throughout the dance, and I kept thinking of how magical that moment must be. Technically, it might not be my best work because I could have gotten it into focus a little more, but just looking at the picture takes me back to that sweet sweet moment with them slow dancing as husband and wife to Anthony Hamilton’s The Point of it All. Ah, but I digress…enjoy the pictures.

I pray that you two will live happily ever after…forever. I’ve always admired your relationship/friendship. I’m incredibly happy for you!
