E-Sessions are a liiiitttttttle outside of my norm, but I must say that I absolutely LOVE the way that this session turned out. I’m actually excited to do another engagement at this point. There’s just something about working with and chatting with people about one of, if not…THE upcoming happiest day of their lives. Adrienne and Seith were just so in love, and everything flowed pretty natural. I love that they had so many moments during their shoot. They make a beautiful couple, and they made my job EXTREMELY easy, but don’t just take my word for it…have a look for yourself!

Wishing these two nothing but blessings and many years of happiness together! 🙂

Thanks for looking!

Another high school friend came to me for family pictures! YAAY! I really enjoyed working with Lora and Rusty and their sweet baby girl Ava, who is now 7 months. Lora and Rusty are doing such an amazing job with their baby. I just love seeing her little pictures and videos on IG/FB. Seeing people that I grew up with in this new light will just never get old. Also, I’m SO happy that Rusty’s mom came to the shoot. Although I could tell that Ava is a happy little girl, it was a huuuge help having grandma there to help us get the laughs going!

Anyway, enjoy their pictures!

I love that Ava is wearing these vintage Cowboy Boots! They were her daddy’s when he was her age!

No family members are allowed to come to the shoot without hopping in a few shots! 😉 LOL!

Goodness! I edited these pictures thinking “Dear Lord. If you ever decide to bless me with twins…or even just one sweet baby…pppplease let me look like this during my pregnancy!” Nikita is carrying these babies with so much confidence. I mean, I’m sure she has her moments, but for her and her husband’s maternity session, she sure showed up and blew me away! She’d planted the seed of me shooting her TWIN maternity session months ago…so I’d always thought about cute things we could do, but her session surpassed anything that I saw in my head.

These two were a dream. They trusted me on the location, the time, the props, the everrrrything. The only request they  had was to incorporate the dad-to-be’s job. When she told me he was a firefighter…I thought HECK YEAH! I knew it’d be HOT and different from anything I’d ever done, but again…it turned out so amazing in my opinion. They rocked the shots with that hot gear on like I’m sure no one else could do (or at least they set the bar pretty high)! I’m just loving incorporating a little of my client’s visions + a little of my vision.

On a deeper & personal note, when Nikita saw these images for the first time, she sent me the most thoughtful message that made me tear up and feel so honored and blessed to be a part of these moments for such amazing people! 🙂 Believe me, each and every time I hear such powerful words from my clients and just people in general I humbly think “Really?!” I compare myself so often to photographers that have been doing this for YEARS, but you guys sure push and inspire me to keep on keepin’ on with this photography journey.

Anyway, take a look at these awesome parents-to-be.

I really love the evening sunlight. I’m thinking about just shooting exclusively during the “golden hours” now.

The tops that Baby Girl and Baby Boy will wear home!

I can’t imagine Nikita and Eddie’s excitement…I’m even overly anxious to see their pictures when they make it here!!!:D

A precious boy AND a girl…coming right up!

Maternity

What a sweet family of three I had the pleasure of working with. They came up from Augusta for their photo shoot, and totally rocked Lenox Park! Cohen was/is probably the most well behaved one (almost two) year old in the entire world. He did whatever his parents told him to do…even smiled on cue. I learned a valuable lesson during this shoot, tell parents to bring their child’s favorite toys or things that they love. Working with children, you would think that I’d came up with that idea, but nope…it was all Conswala! He rarely separated from his football and I love the shots of him and his trusty little prop.

I can be completely honest here and just say that I was soooo nervous about this shoot. It was completely out of my comfort zone. There were no little ones involved, and it was not to be in a familiar park or in the comfort of their home. Whitney knew from the start that she wanted something different, something honoring her husband’s African culture, aaand she wanted an urban vibe. I think we both knew that Little Five Points would be PERFECT for what she wanted. I just had no idea how I would shoot in such a busy part of town on a Sunday evening. I had no idea where we would shoot because I’ve never even thought about shooting a couple or family down there. Luckily, I’m aaalways up for different and a challenge…and I’m starting to love the adrenaline rush I get from “different” and the unexpected.

Anyway, they were perfect together, and vibed so well together that they needed very little direction. I hope that they felt like this was more of an experience than anything because I truly had a blast during their shoot. We talked, laughed, and they posed here and there. They were extremely easy to work with from the very beginning! Their shoot has me excited to get married……..and to do another photo-shoot in Little Five Points!

I’m hoping to work with you guys again in the near future!!!!

How awesome is the custom attire?! Little details of who they are, weaved all into this shoot. Gosh, they rocked it!

Having a client show up with props unique to their family is simply a photographers dreeeeam!

Love these shots of Whitney dressed in traditional Senegal attire.
