This little guy is just soooo cute! We were supposed to meet up for a newborn shoot, but we ended up waiting until he was about 3 months or so, and I am sooo glad that it worked out that way. Some photographers genuinely fear the 3 month age because they are past the bendy-sleepy phase, and they not quiiite able to sit up alone, but the more I do this age, the more I truly love it. I mean he tried to carry on a conversation with me THE ENTIRE shoot. He gave me so much emotion that it didn’t take us too long to wrap up the shoot. It’s always a great shoot when it ends before the little one is sick and tired of the lady with the black box in their face. LOL!

Loved his little bow tie onesie, hence me calling him a little baby-man! *melts*

A signature 3-month pose/shot that pics all parents love.

Just sitting here, enjoying the afternoon sunshine.

He was talking to me here. Lol!

Yay for convincing his mommy to jump in at least a shot or two with him. 😉

Thanks for looking!

3 Month Old Baby-Man

Children

It’s pretty interesting how this year worked out. Jessica happens to be the teacher who’s second grade class I ended up taking over. All I’d heard prior to getting the position was that she was an amazing teacher, and that she would soon be an amazing mother. Of course, none of us knew just how soon it would all come to be. I think  KNOW that everyone was right, and I have SO much respect for her because in spite of welcoming a baby earlier than expected, she managed to find the time to help me settle into the classroom.

After a 3 month stay in the hospital, I was sooo excited to get the text that this sweet little one was home and ready for her newborn shoot! I knew Jessica from the elementary school, and hearing that she had her baby girl early broke my heart, but working at the school kept me in the loop of things. The Epstein parents are so fortunate and blessed to have such a little fighter, but she’s also blessed to have such supportive, faithful, and dedicated parents. Even during her  shoot they were working hard to make sure she had exactly what she needed, when she needed it. I’ve seen first hand how hard it is to care for a newborn baby, and these parents are doing an amazing job! I hope that this will  be the first of many family shoots with you all! 🙂

I almost melted when Baby P gave me this smile.

She’s a natural.

Resting in her daddy’s arms.

I just love this one.

Beautiful family!

Baby Epstein is home!

Newborn

I’m happy to finally be here (on the blog), sharing THIS family’s photos…I believe Que was one of the first to compliment my work and to tell me that I would be doing her family photos one day. Fast forward a couple of years, and we fiiiinally made it happen! YAY! Not only did I have the pleasure of “shooting” her family, but I was one of the first to find out the gender of their new baby…After two super cute and cool boys…there’s a BABY GIRL on the way! Eeek! So excited for this beautiful family! I pray that this will not be the first and last time that I get them in front of my camera 😉

I think the right pic pretty is pretty accurate as far as how they feel about a little sister coming along. 🙂

Her name will be J-O-L-I

They were giving me quick smiles because they wanted the PINK paint OFF of them! LOL!

One of my all-time favorite maternity shots!!!

Finally throwing a little pink in the mix!

Congrats to the Butler Family! I really can’t wait to see her!

Thanks for looking!

The Butler Family are Expecting…

Maternity

It’s been far too long since I have blogged. 🙁 I said to my boyfriend the other day, “Idk how I’m even still getting hits or inquiries from my site. I haven’t been present on there in months.” I’ve tried my best to at least post sneak peeks on my Instagram and FB business page, but my poor blog has been a little neglected. I just have to be honest with you all…and myself. I have 21 kiddos now, and I HAVE BEEN DOWN RIGHT BUSY AND EXHAUSTED. I’M TALKIN’ FALLING ASLEEP AT 8PM EXHAUSTED. I started a new teaching position, and I’ve just gotten to the point where I can dedicate a little more time to photography again. Farrahn E. Photography is definitely still shooting. Lol! Before I post any new things, I want to share a few family sessions from the past holiday rush. First up, is Hanna & Jin’s family session!!!

I’m just sooo pleased with how this shoot turned out. I felt bad before we showed up for it because I knew it was going to be a cold day, but the girls were such great sports throughout the entire shoot. They are at my favorite age, they are old enough to know what’s going on, but young enough to not really care about the camera being pointed at them. Lol! They completely did their own thing for the camera and I LOVEEED that!!!

I’m so glad that we decided to not let the crazy weather stop this shoot from happening. It felt weird that this was my first time actually meeting Hanna because I feel like I’ve truly known her for a while, thanks to conversing via social networks and emailing for some time. & Hanna, let me just say that I have watched you from afar. You’ve handle a situation that would have completely broken most women. You’ve handled it with so much strength, class, and grace. In this year you’ve taught me so much about moving forward and not letting anything keep you down too long…and you didn’t even know it! I hope that we have started something here, and you’ll trust me to capture many many maaany more memories for you & Jin.

Again, I never wanted to go the railroad tracks route, but my goodness it really works! LOL!

What a beautiful family!

One of my favorite sibling shots…EVER.

Gorgeous!

My first album will be coming up soon and featuring this family. So stay tuned!

Hanna & Jin Family Session

Family

How nice it was to have Charmaine contact me for another shoot this year! I worked with her babygirl around the 3rd of July! I remember the date because, I remember working with her and then leaving for a birth that same day…and then shooting another birth the next day. I’d never had such a severe case of baby fever in my life! Lol! Anyway, this was one of the best emails ever because not only did Charmaine want me to take her immediate family’s pics, but she wanted to gift a session for her sister in law and her girls! How awesome! Both families were EXTREMEEELY easy to work with and their sessions flowed so naturally. I have to say that the two youngest were sooomething else and kept me laughing. It was such a cold two days, but Baby K smiled/laughed for almost EVERY SINGLE shot…and Candace’s baby girl would be warming up and when it was time for her shots, she’d toss her coat and BRING IT! LOLOL! I couldn’t be happier with their galleries. Although this was two separate sessions, I’m going to combine them here so this share is a bit larger. Enjoy!

Look at Baby K when she was just a few days old. <3 <3 <3

Now here she is about 5 months later. Just as happy as can be!

Their sweet family. I love the color combination.

Parents are normally the last ones to get shots at my sessions, so I made a conscious effort to not put a few of those off until the end.

One of my favorite “mommy and me” shots!

Lol! The one on the right is hilarious!

Lol! I love her!

Bridges Family Part II

Lol! What did I tell you?! She was ready! I even think she posed herself here.

Candace could totally pass for “one of the girls” herself!”

Candace with each of her little ladies. Love!

Of course we ended with a shot of everyone! 😉

Thanks for looking!
