The god kids and their mom came up one weekend…sporting their Christmas presents from me. We missed the opportunity over Christmas so we made up for it in Atlanta! Thank God for 70 degree Georgia weather during the winter!!! We had to work quickly so I didn’t get as many as normal, but I love what we were able to get. I can’t wait to print these shots of my babies!
& if you’re wondering why I have a few more of MJ than Roman, it’s because he was not interested in me or my big camera. MJ on the other hand, she thinks she’s a model.

Meeting with Aubrey for a shoot with his little boy has been in the works for a minute. He definitely did not disappoint with his super cute self! This was a rather special shoot for me because Aubrey and I go way back, and it was pretty awesome to see him and his family vibing so well during the brief little session we had. Getting a child to laugh and interact with their parent has NEVER EVER been so easy. I’m extremely proud of you my friend…you clearly, already have a great relationship with Aubrey Jr. I am seriously looking forward to doing a full session with this family, complete with a little wee man that was missing!

As I edited these pictures I kept thinking back to about 2006. Shawnell added a pic to fb that said something like “…in a perfect world.” She’d Photoshopped Bully into a picture with her and Harmony. While I’m not saying that it doesn’t still sting not having Bully here or that we live in a perfect world, but it’s pretty amazing that today Shawnell’s got that picture perfect family. Within minutes of Horace being home from work he greeted everyone, changed, and got right down to helping us get the kids together. I just felt SO happy for Shawnell. She could have completely stopped moving forward after dealing with something so tragic, but she didn’t and eventually the perfect guy for her and her family was placed in her life. What a true testament of faith and patience. 😀
